A woman who was recently declared missing by her family after allegedly leaving her matrimonial home in Abuja has reportedly contacted a third party to explain her disappearance, claiming she voluntarily left after discovering her husband had two children from different women.
The development has sparked widespread discussion on social media following earlier appeals by family members seeking public assistance in locating the woman, who was said to have disappeared from her husband’s residence shortly after relocating to Abuja.
The woman, who hails from Mbabum community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, got married to Goshi Bem in March 2026. Family members had earlier raised concerns after she reportedly left the matrimonial home about two weeks ago without returning.
According to a statement previously circulated by a family representative, Hon. Goshi Peter, relatives were worried about her whereabouts and appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could help trace her.
However, in a fresh twist to the story, a Facebook user identified as Tyom Alexander claimed on Saturday, June 6, 2026, that she successfully established contact with the woman through a phone number allegedly provided by an informant.
According to Alexander, the woman stated that she was neither abducted nor missing but had deliberately left the marriage after discovering information about her husband that had allegedly been concealed from her before their wedding.
The woman reportedly claimed that her husband failed to disclose that he had fathered two children with two different women prior to their marriage.
According to the account shared online, she only became aware of the children after moving to Abuja with her husband following their wedding.
The first child was said to be five years old, while the second was reportedly two years old.
Alexander quoted the woman as saying that she felt betrayed by the discovery and had decided to leave the relationship.
“She told me her husband did not inform her that he had children before they got married. She only found out after they settled in Abuja,” Alexander wrote.
The woman also reportedly conveyed a message to her husband, stating that he should stop searching for her because she was safe and taking care of herself.
According to the Facebook user, the woman insisted that she was doing well and did not wish to return under the circumstances.
The claims have generated mixed reactions online, with many users expressing sympathy for the woman, while others have urged caution until both sides of the story are heard.
Alexander herself noted that the allegations remain one-sided and said she would like to hear the husband’s response before drawing conclusions.
“If this account is accurate, then the husband has disappointed me. However, I still want to hear his own version of events,” she reportedly stated.
As of the time of reporting, the husband had not publicly responded to the allegations, and the claims made by the woman had not been independently verified.
The incident has nevertheless reignited conversations about honesty, transparency and disclosure in relationships, particularly concerning important personal matters that may affect marital trust and long-term family life.
