A 65-year-old traditional ruler, Dan Majin Lafia, has become a trending topic after marrying a 19-year-old woman in Nasarawa State.
The wedding ceremony took place over the weekend in Lafia and has generated widespread reactions online, with many social media users discussing the couple’s 46-year age difference.
Photos from the ceremony, which have since gone viral, show the monarch and his bride smiling as they celebrated their union.
Reacting to the wedding, Facebook user Bin Ismail congratulated the newlyweds, saying, “Love is beautiful! Congratulations to the bride and groom. May Allah grant you a peaceful home and bless you with righteous children.”
In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that nollywood actor, Jimmy Rolland, has claimed that his former wife deceived him into believing she was a virgin before they got married, describing the revelation on their wedding night as one of the biggest disappointments of his life.
Speaking on the African A-List podcast in an episode uploaded on Saturday, the actor said he ignored several warning signs before marrying his ex-wife because he was convinced she was truthful.
“I am not a fool. I saw signs, but I was hypnotised by my mother-in-law,” he said.
