Three Reportedly Die At Ekiti Varsity Convocation After-Party

Three people, including two students of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) and a staff member of an Hotel at Ikere were reportedly killed following a stampede incident at a convocation after-party held at the hotel yesterday.

According to SON TV, the incident was reported this morning, with eyewitnesses saying it occurred late last night during the event.

Preliminary accounts from eyewitnesses revealed that the situation began when a large crowd struggled to move from one section of the venue to another, leading to a stampede.

However, the identities of the deceased have not been officially confirmed as of press time.

Authorities are expected to release an official update once the victims are identified and their families get notified.
