Seyi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to trust President Bola Tinubu’s reforms, assuring them they will deliver a better future.
He made the call at the inaugural Seyi Tinubu Colloquium themed ‘Shaping the Future Together’ held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
The colloquium, which attracted a large audience, featured patriotic deliberations on nation-building and youth inclusion in governance.
In his welcome address, Seyi Tinubu, who will turn a year older on 13 October, said every generation inherits a country it did not choose but has a duty to shape for the next.
“Every generation is born into and virtually inherits a country it did not choose. From every generation, leaders will emerge who will become responsible for shaping the country,” he said.
He noted that while the independence generation secured self-governance in 1960 and the pro-democracy generation restored democratic rule, the current youth population now bears responsibility for Nigeria’s future.

“Removing the fuel subsidy, reforming the foreign exchange system and overhauling taxation are decisions about how Nigeria earns, spends and creates opportunities. Changes have not been easy. Families have had their budgets stretched. The pain was immediate, the lasting improvement more difficult to feel and touch, yet no less real,” he said.
Seyi Tinubu added that investments in roads, superhighways, power, mining, manufacturing, agriculture, education and credit access are foundations whose value extends beyond any administration.
“I support President Bola Tinubu’s reforms because we will inherit a future built by leaders of today,” he stated.

In his vote of thanks, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, described the event as a youth colloquium for Nigeria, not just for Seyi Tinubu, and recalled how President Tinubu gave him and many others opportunities as young people when he was governor of Lagos in 1999.
