As the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial election approaches, the future of our education, our youth economy, and our collective destiny hangs in the balance.

As intellectuals and the bedrock of teacher education in Nigeria, the student community cannot afford to be passive observers.

Hon. Benjamin Kayode Adereti with NANCES Osun stakeholdersย

We have critically analyzed the political landscape, evaluated the blueprints of all contenders, and assessed their track records. Today, the National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students (NANCES), Osun State Axis, breaks its silence. We are here to align with competence, integrity, and a proven friend of Nigerian students.

Why AMBO? The Student Perspective
We are not endorsing blindly. We are endorsing a structural reformer, an astute administrator, and a financial expert who knows exactly how to drive prosperity. Our endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) is built on three unshakeable pillars:

A Champion of Education: As a former Commissioner for Finance, Oyebamiji understands the intricate funding needs of tertiary institutions. He knows that to fix society, we must empower the classrooms. His vision aligns perfectly with upgrading student welfare, funding college infrastructure, and ensuring a regularized academic calendar.

Youth-Centric Leadership: AMBO has continuously called on the youth to be active drivers of the democratic process, rather than tools for political thuggery. He believes in a paradigm shift where young graduates are creators of wealth, not seekers of crumbs.

Administrative Integrity: From his stellar performance at Omoluabi Holdings to the Ministry of Finance, and most recently as the MD/CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), his public service record is untainted. He is a man who leads with the fear of God and structural accountability.

โ€œWe donโ€™t need experimenters in the Government House; we need an architect of real, sustainable growth. That architect is AMBO.โ€

The Declaration
Therefore, by the powers vested in me as the Chairman of NANCES, Osun State Axis, and standing on the collective mandate of thousands of students across our Colleges of Education, we officially endorse Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) as our preferred candidate for the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
We do not just offer our voices; we offer our structure.

Our Charge to Osun Students
To every student in Osun Stateโ€”from Ilesa to Ila-Orangun, from Osogbo to Ikire, and beyond: the campaign starts now.
