The ancient town of Iseyin came alive on Saturday as renowned digital entrepreneur, media practitioner, and Public Relations Officer of the Department of Minerals, Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (DMPEEL), University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Comrade Ismael Taiwo, exchanged marital vows with his heartthrob, Aminat Balogun, a health practitioner, in a colourful and well-attended wedding ceremony.
The solemnization and reception, held at the prestigious Moots Event Centre along Okeho Road, Iseyin, attracted an array of distinguished personalities from various sectors, making it one of the town’s most notable social gatherings.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were traditional rulers, a retired Commissioner of Police, the member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dele Adeola; the Director of the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan, Prof. Falode; media professionals, health practitioners, officials of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), academics, political leaders, family members, friends, and well-wishers.
Comrade Ismael Taiwo is widely respected for his contributions to digital media, public communication, and youth development. He previously served as President of the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law Students’ Association (CPEELSA), University of Ibadan, where he distinguished himself through exemplary leadership and impactful service.
He currently serves as the Public Relations Officer of the DMPEEL, University of Ibadan Alumni Association, where he continues to strengthen alumni engagement and promote the department’s activities.
The ceremony commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at about 4:00 p.m., featuring vibrant cultural displays, heartfelt goodwill messages, and electrifying live musical performances that kept guests entertained throughout the celebration.
The event was marked by an atmosphere of elegance, joy, and celebration as family members, friends, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers gathered to witness the union and offer prayers for a blissful and prosperous married life for the newlyweds.
Guests departed the venue with heartfelt congratulations and prayers that the couple’s union would be blessed with enduring love, divine guidance, peace, fruitfulness, and lasting prosperity.
