Big Brother Naija reality star Phyna has called on Nigerian hook-up girls to put more effort into their appearance, saying they should dress professionally and look prepared for business.
Speaking during a recent livestream, Phyna compared the appearance of s+x workers in Nigeria to those she saw in Kenya, where she said the women dressed up intentionally, wore heels and had their makeup done.
“I want to kneel down and beg our hook-up girls. You girls are not even taking this your job serious,” she said.
Recalling her experience in Kenya, Phyna said, “You see girls that are standing on the road, they’re on heels. Their hair laid, like they are ready for business.”
She criticised some women she sees around Orchid Road and Farm City in Nigeria, saying they often appear poorly dressed and make little effort to prepare for work.
“You just wear clothes as if you are going to buy recharge card, you’re wearing slippers. They’re wearing just any kind gown like that. No makeup, no lip gloss,” she said.

“At least girls, wear your heels, even if it’s two inches heels. At least try and do lip combo,” she said.
The reality star described the appearance of some Nigerian hook-up girls as “tacky” and urged them to be more intentional about their outfits, makeup and overall presentation, citing the effort she observed among sex workers during her visit to Kenya.
