Nigerian fashion designer and entrepreneur, Ruth Erikan James, popularly known as Veekee James, and her husband, Femi Atere, have welcomed their first child together.
The celebrity designer announced the birth of their baby girl in a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday.
She revealed that the child, named Eliana Adeife Atere, was born on May 2, 2026, while also explaining that the name symbolises “My God has answered.”
Veekee also referenced a Bible verse from 1 Samuel 1:27 to express gratitude over the arrival of the child.
She wrote, “She’s Here 🤍 @elianaatere 🥹02-May-26 Eliana Adeife Atere ❤️EL (God) and ANA (He has answered), signifying “My God has answered”
“1 Samuel 1:27 – “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”
The development comes three months after the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
In a pregnancy announcement video shared earlier on Instagram, the couple unveiled her baby bump and described the journey as one made possible through faith.
Veekee had accompanied the post with a message celebrating their transition into parenthood, noting that only God could make such a moment possible.
