Portable, the controversial singer, lost his boxing rematch with Charles Okocha, the social media personality, due to disqualification.
The bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” ended in the first round after Portable stormed out of the ring amid the fight, forcing the referee to call the match in favour of Okocha.
The fight, which held in the early hours of Saturday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, did not live up to its build-up hype.
The duo had previously faced each other in the ring in 2023, with Portable emerging victorious while Okocha maintained the fight was unfairly called against him.
The rematch was initially going Portable’s way until he swept his opponent onto the canvas with a leg takedown, and the boxing match descended into a wrestling contest.
Extra officials and security personnel had to be called in to separate the two fighters as they tussled and grappled on the ring floor. Shortly after they were separated, Portable ducked out of the ring, annoyed at something that was not obvious.
The singer was eventually persuaded to return to the ring, and the officials wasted little time announcing his disqualification and declaring Okocha the victor.
The loss is Portable’s second consecutive in celebrity boxing matches. He was previously beaten by Carter Efe, the streamer, in May.
