A physical altercation broke out between controversial singer Portable and content creator Carter Efe during a heated press conference on Wednesday, ahead of their highly anticipated boxing match.
The duo is scheduled to face off in the main event on May 1 at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In a viral video from the press conference, Portable and Carter were seen engaged in a tense exchange that quickly escalated into chaos, with both men throwing objects at each other.
Event organisers and bouncers were also seen trying to defuse the situation by holding the two apart and repeatedly calling for calm.
In February, Portable revealed that he was paid N40 million for agreeing to the boxing fight with the streamer.
He disclosed that businessman E-Money and producer Soso Soberekon each promised him N50 million and a car if he secured victory.
Carter added that he agreed to the fight after being informed by Soberekon that the winner would receive N50 million.
This isnāt Portableās first time trading mic stands for boxing gloves. In April 2025, he defeated his colleague Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing match.
He also secured wins against actor Charles Okocha in December 2023 and Kelvin Power, bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel, in February 2024.
