Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted after celebrity businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.
The APC primary election was held on Saturday as part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 polls.
Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, contested for the House of Representatives ticket under the ruling party.
Ahead of the exercise, the nightlife promoter purchased the APC expression of interest and nomination forms, explaining that his ambition was focused on youth empowerment, grassroots development, and encouraging greater political participation among young people in the constituency.
However, he failed to secure the APC ticket.
Reacting to the outcome, Seyi Tinubu, who is the Grand Patron of City Boy Movement, took to his Instagram story on Sunday to encourage Cubana Chief Priest to remain hopeful, stating that setbacks could create opportunities for greater victories in the future.
He also urged the socialite to stay positive, adding that many people still believed in his ability to achieve success.
He wrote, “Bro Sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war.” Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest We know what you are capable of achieving.”
