PHOTOS: Senator Ned Nwoko Shares Fresh Details About Marriage To Regina Daniels

The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, has released fresh details about his marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels in 2019.

Reacting to reports that he got married to the actress as a teenager, Nwoko said Daniels was already 21 at the time of their union.

In a post made on Facebook, the Delta lawmaker described the claims that he married Daniels at the age of 17 as untrue and misleading.

He said, “For clarity, during my first meeting with Regina, I asked her age, and she told me she was 21 years old. I further asked if she had any documents to support this, and she presented her INEC voter’s card, which clearly shows that she was born on October 10th, 1998.”

He also noted that at the time, he had told the actress he would always keep her voter’s card as evidence of her claim.

“I informed her that I would keep this document in my possession, and I have done so since that day. I have also seen a BBC interview with Her mom granted after our marriage regarding her age,” Nwoko said.

The lawmaker further stated that with all the evidence available to him, Daniels is currently 27 years old and that any suggestions that he deceived her into marrying him at 17 should be disregarded by the public.

“According to all verifiable records, our marriage took place six years ago, which means Regina is 27 years old today. Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public.

The facts are verifiable and indisputable,” he said.

In addition, the lawmaker warned the general public to also disregard Daniels’ claim that he (Nwoko) is responsible for her drug addiction and mental health condition.

“Until this is done, I urge the public to approach all her claims with caution and discernment especially taking into account her current mental condition having started and abandoned her rehabilitation from illegal drug addiction,” he added.
