Hon. Wale Ajala, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for Ona-Ara State Constituency, has dismissed circulating rumors alleging that the Oyo State House of Assembly ticket for the constituency has already been handed to the incumbent lawmaker.
Describing the claim as false, misleading, and undemocratic, Hon. Ajala stated that party tickets are not distributed as political gifts but must emerge through due process and the collective will of party members and the people.
According to him, the unanimous endorsement he received from PDP leaders across Ona-Ara Local Government remains the authentic position of the party stakeholders and grassroots faithful.
“The mandate of the people cannot be imposed upon or manipulated. We reject every form of political injustice and anti-democratic arrangement aimed at silencing the voice of the grassroots,” he said.
Hon. Ajala reaffirmed his determination to pursue and reclaim what he described as the people’s mandate, stressing that his mission is centered on restoring quality representation and responsive leadership to Ona-Ara State Constituency.
“I have said it before and I will continue to say it: we shall reclaim the mandate. The people of Ona-Ara deserve credible representation, not political imposition.
“Our movement remains strong because it is built on truth, service, and the overwhelming support of the grassroots.”
He further urged his supporters, coordinators, and PDP faithful not to be distracted by rumors or political propaganda, assuring them that victory remains achievable through unity, dedication, and commitment to democratic principles.
Hon. Ajala reiterated his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and confidence in the party’s leadership and internal democratic process.
“We remain steadfast, focused, and committed to the PDP. Victory is certain, and the people’s mandate shall prevail.”
