The Atiba Local Government Chairmanship Candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Oseni Afees Olayimika, has challenged the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to provide a transparent account of how funds allocated to Atiba Local Government have been managed since the commencement of his administration.
According to Olayimika, Atiba Local Government deserves better in terms of infrastructural development and the delivery of democratic dividends to its residents, considering the substantial monthly allocations received from the Federal Government.
He expressed concern over the deplorable condition of roads across the ten wards of Atiba Local Government, noting that many inner roads have deteriorated to the point of becoming potential death traps for motorists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
Olayimika questioned why a local government with significant economic potential and industrious residents continues to grapple with inadequate infrastructure despite the regular disbursement of funds to local governments.
He maintained that the people of Atiba deserve accountability, transparency, and tangible development that directly improves their quality of life.

He further emphasized that good governance must be measured not merely by the amount of money allocated to government, but by the tangible impact of such resources on the lives of ordinary citizens.
