Thai health authorities have revealed new details surrounding the death of Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer, Igho Ubiribo, with the clinic where he received his final procedure disclosing that he opted for a 40cc male enhancement filler injection before his death.
Ubiribo, popularly known as “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego,” died in March while on holiday in Thailand with his wife after undergoing a penile filler procedure.
The Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), under Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, disclosed the development after inspecting the Bangkok clinic where the 43-year-old received treatment.
According to the authorities, the clinic told investigators that Igho Ubiribo had been a regular patient since 2024 and had undergone five penis enlargement injections before his death.
The clinic revealed that the final procedure, carried out on March 5, 2026 — one day before his death — involved the injection of 40cc of filler.
Investigators said the doctor had recommended dividing the procedure into two sessions, but Ubiribo preferred to receive the entire injection during one appointment.
“The clinic provided post-operative care instructions and followed up with the patient, who did not report any problems with the procedure,” the Thai authorities said.
The revelation formed part of an ongoing investigation ordered by Thailand’s Minister of Public Health, Pattana Promphat, following Ubiribo’s death.
Authorities said emergency medical services were called after he lost consciousness at a private hospital in Bangkok.
According to the investigation report, Igho Ubiribo developed complications after the procedure and later suffered a suspected blood clot.
Medical personnel attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes but were unsuccessful.
A postmortem examination later found material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the filler procedure, with evidence presented at a UK inquest linking the treatment to a fatal pulmonary embolism.
However, Thai authorities said no finding of malpractice had been made against the clinic, adding that investigations were still ongoing to determine whether professional standards were followed.
The case has renewed warnings from medical experts that non-surgical cosmetic procedures are not necessarily risk-free.
