A heartbreaking incident has left residents of Felele, Kogi State, in shock after a newborn baby was reportedly found dead inside a carton.
According to Kogi Global News, the tragic discovery was said to have been made on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at about 6:14 p.m., behind AP Filling Station in Felele.
According to reports, the newborn baby, identified as a female, was found inside a carton at the location. Sadly, she was already dead when she was discovered.
The circumstances surrounding how the baby got to the location remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
The incident has reportedly sparked sadness among residents, with many expressing concern and calling for further investigation to establish what happened to the newborn.

In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Ondo State Police Command has arrested 15 suspects in connection with the sale and distribution of a local herbal alcoholic mixture popularly known as “monkey tail,” suspected to have caused the deaths of 30 people in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Jimoh Abayomi, disclosed this in a statement issued in Akure on Sunday.
According to him, one of those arrested is Oloruntoba Babatunde, alias “Meko,” who is suspected of being involved in the production of the toxic substance believed to contain methanol. READ MORE
