NAUS, NAPS, NANCES Threaten Protest Over Alleged Siphoning Of FG Palliatives By Agric Minister, NEMA DG

National Association of University Students (NAUS), National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) has requested for fact-finding visit from Minster of Agriculture and Director General of Nigerian Emergency Management Agency.

In a separate press release to the NEMA DG, Ahmed Habib and Minister for Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, the students alleged that there was siphoning of grains meant to cursion effect of economy hardship ravaging the country.

The students further that they are taking every steps to find out the truth, and ignoring there calls may lead to protest.

We bring to you greetings from the intellectual tower of National Association of University Students (NAUS), National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students (NANCES).

The trio body represents the full interest of University Students, Polytechnic Students and the Colleges of Education Students and are saddle with full responsibility of seeing to their welfare.

It is no longer news, the lingering crisis of allege siphoning of over 40,000 metric tonnes of grains by your office under your leadership, we find it so disheartening and inhuman if such can happen during this critical time of our nation where the President is trying everything possible to ensure life of ordinary Nigerians become easy.

Sequel to the report and distress calls from all our members and teaming executives and as students that believe in consultation and consolidation before confrontation and after we, the leadership of trio body are writing to express our deep concern and outrage regarding the allegations surrounding the distribution of over 40,000 metric tonnes of grain regarding this allegation which neither our campus nor our students communities benefitted from even a tone.

Therefore, we respectfully request that you grant us an urgent visit your office for a fact finding and getting the true picture of the happening before taking decision, we believe that transparency and accountability are essential in governance, and we hope that you will grant our request as our members are already on our neck for us to go on a protest.

Therefore, the proposition is to have this visit on Thursday, 5th, September 2024 By 10:00 am at your Office. This proposition is subject to your review.
We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
