Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Ibadan North Constituency I and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Ibadan North Constituency I, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi Olajide, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the globe on the occasion of this year’s Maulud Nabiyy celebration.
In a goodwill message issued by her media team, Hon. Comforter described the commemoration as an important opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the life and enduring legacy of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of humility, compassion, tolerance, justice, peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
She urged Muslim faithful to let the lessons of the Prophet’s life extend beyond the celebration, encouraging them to demonstrate love, kindness, patience and understanding in their families and communities.
The APM candidate for Ibadan North Constituency I also called for intensified prayers for peace, security, unity and sustainable development in Nigeria, Oyo State and Ibadan North Constituency I.
According to her, the progress of society requires a combination of sincere prayers, responsible citizenship and a shared commitment to promoting peace and supporting initiatives that improve the lives of the people.
Hon. Comforter further appealed to Nigerians across religious and ethnic divides to embrace mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, stressing that the values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to the task of building a peaceful, united and prosperous society.
She expressed hope that this year’s Maulud celebration would bring renewed hope to families, strengthen bonds within communities and inspire greater acts of compassion and selflessness among Nigerians.
“May the lessons of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) continue to inspire us to show greater love, compassion, tolerance and dedication to the service of humanity.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless and protect our families, grant Nigeria lasting peace and prosperity, and guide our leaders and citizens towards a more united and progressive nation. Ameen.”
