JUST-IN: Minister’s Loses Father (Photo)

GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced the passing of Alhaji Abdullahi Sabi, father of Minister of State Senator Aliyu Abdullahi.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of State on Tuesday.

Alhaji Abdullahi passed away on Monday night at the age of 100. Funeral prayers and interment took place today at Gbemusu Palace in New Bussa, Niger State.

Senator Abdullahi recalled his father’s significant contributions to the community, stating, “My father was a man of great patience and tolerance.”

He highlighted Alhaji Abdullahi’s role as the District Head of Luma in the Borgu Emirate Council.

Born in 1924, the late Alhaji Abdullahi had a distinguished career, serving as a Works Superintendent and Supervisory Councillor for Borgu Local Government Area. He was also the pioneer Chairman of the Jamaatul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatul Sunnah in Borgu Kingdom.

Abdullahi reflected on his father’s steadfast loyalty to tradition and leadership, noting, “He was the last man standing in his support for the late Emir of Borgu, Senator Haliru Dantoro Kitoro III.”

Alhaji Abdullahi is survived by his wives, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of relatives, leaving behind a legacy that has shaped the community for generations.
