A 46-year-old Florida woman, Christina Clemens, and her 22-year-old son, Shane Clemens, have been arrested and charged with incest.
Their charges came after deputies investigating a domestic incident involving the pair reportedly uncovered a sexual relationship between them.
Christina, of Lakeland, southwest of Orlando, had called for help, claiming that Shane hit her during the domestic dispute. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Shane was arrested after deputies responded.
According to Judd, Shane became angry after his mother called deputies and had him arrested. He then reportedly told deputies that he and Christina had been having a sexual relationship since he was 18.
Detectives subsequently asked Christina whether she had been having sex with her son since he turned 18. According to Judd, she responded, “only about 100 times.”
Detectives then spoke with Christina’s husband and asked whether they were happily married and living together.
The husband, who was not identified, said he had no idea that his wife and son were having sex, but said he had found it suspicious that they would go into the master bedroom and lock the door.
Christina and Shane were both charged with incest, while Christina was additionally charged with adultery.
