A yet-to-be identified middle-aged woman was allegedly beheaded by a man at a hotel room in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday afternoon at Novex Hotel, where the suspect was said to have checked in with the woman.
Some sources said they heard sounds of a fight in the room where the suspect had lodged and quickly broke into the room, where they saw the woman in a pool of blood with a deep cut on her neck.
The corpse had been evacuated from the hotel to an undisclosed hospital, while the suspect was said to have been arrested by the police.
Confirming the incident, Spokesman of the Adamawa state Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the command had arrested one suspect in connection with the alleged crime.
“The Command has commenced full investigation into the incident. Further details will be communicated to members of the public as the investigation progresses.
“The Command urges members of the public to remain calm, avoid jungle justice, and allow the police to conclude investigation.” Nguroje stated.
In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old housewife, Aisha Musa, for allegedly attempting to kill her husband by poisoning his food in Gwamma Village, Bauchi Local Government Area of the state.
The command said the suspect, who had been married for about 40 days, allegedly mixed a poisonous substance into her husband’s meal on August 12, 2026.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, a distress call was received at about 7:40 p.m. from an anonymous woman living in the Wunti Dada area of Bauchi, prompting officers from the ‘C’ Division, Tafawa Balewa Estate, to respond immediately. READ MORE
