Undefeated boxing champion Claressa Shields has sparked reactions after revealing that she would consider becoming a “Christian porn star” if she were not a professional boxer, with one condition attached.
Shields made the surprising remark during a livestream with content creator Zoe Spencer, when she was asked what she would do if she were not involved in boxing.
Responding to the question, the boxing champion said: “I would be like a Christian porn star.”
When the interviewer reacted with surprise, Shields stood by her statement, with the conversation clarifying that she meant appearing in films exclusively with her husband.
“You know on film but only with your husband,” she said.
Shields then mentioned other careers she could pursue outside boxing, adding: “But besides that, I’ll be like a singer. I’ll play basketball.”

It had attracted attention because of the champion’s unexpected response and her condition that such films would only involve her husband.
Many users pointed out the massive oxymoron of putting “Christian” and “porn star” in the same sentence, leading to endless memes and jokes about what a “faith-based” adult film would even look like.
Some fans defended her logic, noting that marital intimacy is celebrated in Christian theology, so her specification of “only with your husband” made sense in her own unique way.
