Some beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s Household Prosperity and Empowerment Cash Transfer (HoPE-CT) programme have reportedly started receiving ₦25,000 payment alerts through TagPay.
An SMS shared by a beneficiary, dated October 29, 2026, confirms a household payment of ₦25,000 under the programme. The message also displays a partially masked account number and provides 969 for enquiries.
However, this is an individual payment notification and does not confirm that all beneficiaries have received their payments or that nationwide disbursement is complete.
How Much Does the HoPE-CT Programme Pay?
Under the HoPE-CT programme, eligible households are expected to receive a total of ₦75,000 in three instalments of ₦25,000.
The payments are intended to support vulnerable households identified through the government’s social protection system.
The programme is not an open cash grant application for every Nigerian.
