A carefully sequenced three-day mobilisation drive under the MOTIJ Tripartite Grassroots Engagement for AMBO has concluded its intensive outreach in Ede North Local Government Area, generating significant enthusiasm among women, youth, students and commercial motorcycle operators for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate.
The programme, branded as a coordinated effort to mobilise the people of Ede North for victory, brought together key party structures, traditional market leadership, youth and student networks, and commercial transport operators.
Official campaign materials were distributed with clear targets, while stakeholders publicly committed to house-to-house and community-level canvassing ahead of the August 15 election.
The opening session on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the APC Party Secretariat, Oke Gada, focused on Ede North Iyaloja and women stakeholders and recorded a massive turnout.
In attendance were the Ede North Iyaloja-in-Council, market women leaders, all 11 ward women leaders, unit representatives and hundreds of grassroots market women. Leaders at the interactive session stressed the decisive role women play in voter mobilisation and persuasion within their immediate communities and polling units.
Official campaign posters of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) were distributed, with participants charged to ensure the materials reach targeted neighbourhoods and an initial goal of covering at least 1,000 households across Ede North Local Government Area.
Also present were the APC Apex leader in Ede (Baba Royal), the local party chairman, the Osun West Senatorial District Woman Leader and the Youth Leader.
That momentum continued on Friday, 7 August 2026, at the same venue, when the engagement targeted Ede North youth and students stakeholders and again drew a large attendance.
Youth participants were led by Comrade Isiaq, the Local Government Youth Leader, while students were led by Comrade Shurdman, the SUG President of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, together with indigenous student stakeholders from the local government. Posters were distributed to the youth and students caucus for pasting in homes and surrounding areas, with the same target of reaching 1,000 houses.
Senior party figures present included the State APC Youth Leader, the Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, the Local Government Party Chairman and the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Council.
The final day on Sunday, 9 August 2026, centred on commercial motorcycle riders (Okada). Hundreds of commercial riders and private motorcycle owners received free fuel packages. Beneficiaries expressed excitement and appreciation to Alhaji Hon. Mansur Oladimeji Tijani (MOTIJ), the APC candidate for Ede North State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, and publicly pledged their full support and backing for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
Organisers and participants framed the series as a structured grassroots effort to translate enthusiasm into organised voter contact across wards and polling units.
With women leaders, youth and student networks, and commercial transport operators all engaged and equipped with campaign materials, stakeholders expressed confidence that the foundation laid during the MOTIJ Tripartite Grassroots Engagement strengthens the path toward a decisive outcome on election day.
