Hon. Lawrence Adewale Congratulates Florence Ajimobi On Ambassador Nomination

Honorable Lawrence Olujide Adewale (MBA), an aspirant for Oluyole Federal Constituency Come 2027 has congratulated Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi on her nomination as Ambassador by President Bola Tinubu.

Hon. Adewale described the development as a step forward for Nigeria and Oyo state All Progressive Congress (APC).

He described the former Oyo first lady as an eloquent, diligent and a leader with undoubted representation.

Adewale said, “Undoubtedly, President Tinubu has picked the best people for the jobs available, and in Oyo, Mr President has chosen unarguably one of the finest leaders of our party.

“Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi is not just the former first lady of Oyo, but the wife of the architect of the modern Oyo state, whose contributions cannot be overemphasized.

“I wish her success and achievements in this new role. Not only our party, but everyone are happy about this. Accept my congratulations Chief (Dr) Fatima Florence Ajimobi”, Adewale said.

GISTSMATE MEDIA reported that Wife of a former Governor of Oyo State, Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, was named as one of the ambassadorial nominees by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She is among 32 nominees made up of 17 non-career and 15 career diplomats, according to a statement by Presidential spokesman, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday.

The names, according to Bayo Onanuga, have been sent to the Senate for confirmation, days after the first batch of three names was sent.

In two separate letters to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu asked the Senate to consider and confirm 15 nominees expeditiously as career ambassadors and 17 nominees as non-career ambassadors, the statement added.

A breakdown of the list reveals that there are four women on the career ambassadors’ list and six women on the non-career ambassadors’ list.

Among the non-career ambassador designates are Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu from Abia, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri (Delta), former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmud Yakubu, former Ekiti first lady, Erelu Angela Adebayo, and former Enugu governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
