Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, senator representing Kogi central, has stirred conversation online after posting a TikTok video set to the tune of “Omo Ologo,” a popular track associated with President Bola Tinubu.
On May 3, Dauda ‘Rarara’ Kahutu, a Kano-based musician, delighted Tinubu and other dignitaries with a performance of his newly released Yoruba-titled song “Omo Ologo” at a dinner event held in Katsina state.
The dinner was organized in honour of Tinubu, who was on a two-day official visit to Katsina — the hometown of former president Muhammadu Buhari — to assess the state’s security situation.
At the event, Rarara energised the crowd with “Omo Ologo” (a glorious child), a tribute song to Tinubu.
The track praises Tinubu as a triumphant leader who has overcome his detractors.
In a blend of Hausa and Yoruba, Rarara sings: “Olorire Olorire Bola Asiwaju Omo Ologo / Bola Asiwaju Omo Ologo / Asiwaju / Olorirere / Nile awon olote / Nile awon alabosi / Olorire.”
In a 15-second video posted on her TikTok page on May 8, the senator was seen subtly smiling and playfully engaging with the camera, prompting varied interpretations from the public.
In the caption, she briefly wrote “Just for fun, song choked,” which some netizens saw as harmless, while others read political undertones.

The Kogi lawmaker, who has been suspended from the upper legislative chamber, recently published a sarcastic apology to Senate President Godswill Akpabio on her official Facebook page — accompanied with a short video.
In the post, Akpoti-Uduaghan said she was sorry for the “crime of maintaining dignity and self-respect”.
Afterward, Akpabio’s legal team asked a federal high court in Abuja to compel Akpoti-Uduaghan to delete the satirical apology she posted on her social media pages.
In a counter-affidavit, the Kogi senator’s legal team, led by Jubril Okutepa, described Akpabio’s motion as an “attempt to silence and intimidate her”.
Akpoti-Uduaghan’s legal team also asked the federal high court in Abuja to dismiss a motion seeking to compel her to delete the satirical apology to Akpabio.
The court is expected to rule on the motion and the counter-affidavit on May 12.
The row between Akpabio and the suspended senator began after an altercation in the chamber over seating arrangements.
Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended in March, shortly after accusing the senate president of sexual harassment.
