Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has been taken to the hospital after falling ill at Old Trafford ahead of the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday.
Reports from Manchester Evening News and Daily Mail said the 84-year-old began feeling unwell more than an hour before kick-off after arriving at the stadium to watch the match.
Medical staff attended to him at the venue before he was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

Sources indicated that the situation was not treated as an emergency, with expectations that he would recover at home.
Witnesses said he had earlier been interacting with supporters and posing for photographs before his condition changed.
Ferguson remains a regular presence at matches involving Manchester United, often attending games at Old Trafford. His association with the club spans decades, having managed the team from 1986 to 2013.
During his time in charge, he led Manchester United to 13 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies, among other honours, establishing one of the most successful managerial records in football.
The former manager suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2018 and underwent emergency surgery before making a recovery. There has been no indication that the latest incident is related to that condition.
He is currently reported to be stable, with messages of support coming from across the football community.
