President Bola Tinubu has successfully intervened in the crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly, as he met with Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and other lawmakers at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The lawmakers arrived at the Presidential Villa in two coaster buses around 2 pm, while Obasa arrived separately at 2:50 pm.
Obasa was immediately led to the President’s office.
The closed-door meeting lasted for approximately two hours, concluding around 4:30 pm.
Following the meeting, Obasa declined to comment on the discussions, leaving journalists without a statement.
However, the lawmakers’ actions spoke louder than words as they exited the meeting singing “On your mandate, we shall stand” in unison, affirming their loyalty to President Tinubu.
