GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that Solomon Akiyesi, the ace Nigerian actor and producer, has passed away.
Abubakar Yakubu, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed Akiyesi’s passing to TheCable Lifestyle on Monday.
According to Yakubu, Akiyesi died in his sleep on Sunday. He also disclosed that the actor’s body has since been deposited at a mortuary in Abuja.
He added that the guild is still awaiting further details surrounding the film star’s death from his family.
“Yes, it is true. He died yesterday. Slept and did not wake up from sleep. We await further details from the family. His body in the morgue in Abuja where the sad incident happened,” Yakubu told TheCable Lifestyle.
Born and raised in Ososo community, Akoko-Edo LGA, Edo state, Akiyesi entered Nollywood in the late 1990s.
