Iranian Chief of Staff, Abdolrahim Mousavi has reportedly been killed in a fresh series of air strikes carried out by the United States and Israeli armed forces, according to Iranian state television on Sunday.

The incident comes shortly after the confirmed death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during coordinated U.S.-Israeli strikes on Tehran on Saturday.

U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that military operations against Iranās leadership will persist until the nationās top military command is fully neutralized, signaling a continuation of heightened tensions in the region.
GISTSMATE MEDIA reported that several Iranian media confirmed the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranās supreme leader, following a barrage of missile strikes orchestrated by Israel and the United States on Saturday.
Khameneiās daughter, grandchild, daughter-in-law and son-in-law were also killed in the military operation.
Debate over whether Khamenei was indeed among those killed in the joint operation raged across the world late Saturday, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu choosing his words carefully when he said āthere are many signs the supreme leader is no longer with usā.
āThe Supreme Leader of Iran Has Reached Martyrdom,ā state broadcaster IRIB reported on Sunday morning.
āThis great scholar and mujahid (fighter) sacrificed his life to lift Iranā¦ and he is in the grand presence of martyrs above,ā Mehr, the state affiliated news outlet, said.
