Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday arrived at the Bodija residence of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
Fayose was said to have arrived at about 4:50 p.m., at a period of heightened tension involving the traditional institution and the Oyo State Government.
The visit came amid lingering concerns over strained relations between the revered monarch and Governor Seyi Makinde, a development that has attracted the attention of political and traditional stakeholders across the state.
Sources within the palace confirmed that the former governor was received shortly after his arrival and was expected to hold a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan.
The discussions are believed to centre on the ongoing disagreement and possible avenues for easing tensions and restoring calm.
Details of the meeting had not been made public as of the time of filing this report.
