Tragedy struck after a man in his early year died during proof of local magic, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports.
Thr young man popularly known as Sheihu, believed to be in his early twenties, has reportedly died in Ghana after allegedly stabbing himself while attempting to demonstrate what he claimed were supernatural powers.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, during a youth-organised programme held as part of activities marking the annual Fire Festival in Salaga, located in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
According to eyewitnesses, Sheihu allegedly used a knife to stab himself before a crowd in an apparent attempt to prove his spiritual abilities.
He sustained severe injuries during the demonstration and was rushed to the Salaga Government Hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead, leaving residents of the community in shock and mourning.

In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that a light-hearted moment in a courtroom has sparked widespread reactions on social media after a suspect standing in the dock blamed Nigeria’s economic hardship occasioned by President Bola Tinubu’s policies for his involvement in crime.
In a viral video circulating online, the suspect, who appeared to be on trial for an undisclosed offence, was heard speaking in Igbo language while pleading for leniency from the judge.
“Please forgive me, I will not do it again, it’s Tinubu’s fault,” the man said, drawing laughter from court workers and other people seated inside the courtroom.
