The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide has installed Elder Gabriel Kassim as the seventh Spiritual Leader of the fold.
The installation took place on Thursday during the 86th International Conference and Convention of the church at Galilee Land, Orile-Igbon, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The church had on Tuesday declared Kassim its substantive Spiritual Leader following the ratification of his appointment by the conference.
The Secretary-General of the church, Anthony Samaye, announced the decision during a conference meeting attended by members of the Board of Trustees, executives, district leaders and other senior members of the church.
Kassim’s confirmation followed his earlier appointment as Acting Spiritual Leader after the transition of his predecessor, Abiodun Alogbo, on July 30, 2026.
The installation ceremony was conducted by the Spiritual Head of The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, Prophet M.I.O. Ebahor, who also led Kassim to his official seat.

Kassim subsequently took the oath of office administered by the church’s legal adviser, Olusegun Fabunmi SAN, formally marking the commencement of his tenure.
In his acceptance speech, Kassim pledged his commitment to serving the church in accordance with its constitution and promoting unity among its members.
He said, “On behalf of my family and the United C&S Movement Worldwide and all the C&S from Ikare, I accept the position and pledge my faithfulness to serve in unity according to the requirements of the constitution. Thank you.”
Speaking on the theme of the convention, His Fullness of Grace, Adeoye urged Christians to embrace the grace of God rather than allow worldly interests to undermine their salvation.
He drew parallels between the reactions of people at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and what he described as the conduct of some members of the contemporary church.
Adeoye said, “At the cross, we had the passers-by, and that was the time the grace of God was flowing, but the passers-by were mocking Christ. That is the same thing in the church today. Some have turned the time of salvation into an occasion for mockery and have failed to receive the fullness of that grace.
“The soldiers were also negotiating over the garment of Christ when they were supposed to share in the grace at the cross. This is how high-ranking members of the church today are sharing money and positions while compromising their salvation.
“Whoever is enlightened to see who Christ is can receive the fullness of grace. You can only receive the fullness of grace based on how you accept Christ.”
The Secretary-General of the C&S Unification, Tayo Ajose, also presented the certificate of ordination to the new Spiritual Head.
The Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao, commended the installation of the new spiritual leader.
Represented by one of his chiefs, Baale Falade, the monarch also praised the contributions of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church to Christianity.
Similarly, the Spiritual Leader of C&S Agbojesu Conference Worldwide, Samuel Akintobi, expressed happiness over Kassim’s emergence, describing him as a man who relates freely with people and supports activities across different church organisations.
He said, “I am very happy to be here. The new leader is a good man. He loves everybody and loves to attend other churches’ programmes, no matter how far they are.”
