The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects for criminal conspiracy and killing of an unborn child in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement on 19th September, 2026.
According to the PPRO, one Aminu Jibrin conspired with a chemist shop operator, Salihu Mohโd to terminate the pregnancy of a 22-year-old woman after unlawfully giving her some substances.
โOn 18/09/2026 at about 1830hrs, based on credible information from a Human Rights activist in Ningi, one Aminu Jibrin, a male from Burra District criminally conspired with one Salihu Mohโd โmโ 25 years old of Sabuwar Tiffi, a chemist shop operator, and unlawfully administered substances that induced and terminated a pregnancy of one Hauwaโu Yakubu, a 22 years old resident of AAY Quarters, Ningi,โ the statement read.
โOperatives of Ningi Division have arrested the duo of Aminu Jibrin and Salihu Mohโd, for alleged criminal conspiracy and killing of unborn child.
โThe Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc(+), has directed that all cases be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Bauchi for discreet investigation and prosecution.

In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old woman, identified as Nwachukwu Blessing, in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy, fraud and suspected self-kidnapping, following the payment of N3 million ransom by her family.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly conspired with a female associate identified as โOnyinyeโ and another male accomplice, whose identity is presently unknown, to stage her own kidnapping and obtain money from her family.
In a press statement released on Sunday, the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said she was arrested on Friday by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, following credible intelligence. READ MOREย
