BREAKING: CDCFIB Shortlists NSCDC, Immigration, Correctional And Fire Services Applicants For Physical Screening

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has moved the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for four paramilitary agencies to the physical screening and document verification stage.

The board said applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025 should check their status on its official recruitment portal.

CDCFIB disclosed this in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (retd.), on Friday.

According to the board, applicants are to access the recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, from Monday, June 15, to Friday, June 20, to verify their status.

โ€œApplicants are required to log in using the Application Number generated at the time of initial registration.

โ€œIf shortlisted, applicants will be required to upload their credentials, select a date and venue of their choice for physical screening. Applicants are advised to carefully follow all instructions outlined on the portal,โ€ the statement read.

The board advised applicants to carefully follow all instructions provided on the recruitment portal.

It also warned applicants against paying money to individuals or groups claiming to have influence over the recruitment process.

โ€œThe Board wishes to emphasize that the recruitment process is completely FREE. Hence, no FEE should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organization claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection,โ€ it said.

CDCFIB further urged the public to disregard fake recruitment messages, fraudulent links and unauthorised persons claiming to represent the board.

โ€œThe Board remains committed to ensuring that the exercise is conducted in the most transparent, credible, merit-based and in consonance with extant rules guiding recruitment processes,โ€ it said.

The recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.

The exercise began with online applications in July 2025, followed by a Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025.

The board had previously said the recruitment exercise was in its final stages and would be completed within four weeks, amid anticipation among applicants awaiting the conclusion of the process.

In a statement reported by PUNCH Online on August 21, the board said it would not rush the process at the expense of justice, merit, federal character and due process.

It said, โ€œIt is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services.โ€

The board had also said the final stages of the exercise โ€œwill be completed within four weeks.โ€
