Bullion Van K¡lls Two Students In Oyo; NANS Reacts

Two students have died while another sustained critical injuries after they were reportedly struck by a high-speed bullion van in Saki, Oyo State.

The fatal incident occurred on Thursday along the MAK Polytechnic axis, opposite Sharon Rose Schools and College in Saki.

According to eyewitnesses, the three students were riding on a motorcycle when the bullion van, which was travelling at high speed, struck them.

The impact reportedly left one of the students dead at the scene, while the other two victims sustained varying degrees of injuries.

One of the injured students later died on Friday while receiving treatment, leaving the third victim in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses attributed the crash to excessive speed and alleged reckless driving by the bullion van driver.

The victims were said to have recently completed the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination, commonly known as Junior WAEC. Although they were from different families, the three students reportedly attended the same school.

The death of the students has reportedly caused grief among their families, schoolmates and members of the Saki community.
