BREAKING: President Tinubu Returns To Abuja After 2-Week Leave Abroad

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending his two weeks leave at United Kingdom, France respectively.

Tinubu arrived Abuja today, October 19, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports.

Recall that Mr President departed for the United Kingdom on October 2, 2024, for a two-week working leave.

He later left the UK for France on Friday, October 11, for ā€œanother important engagement,ā€ his Senior Special Assistant on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, revealed in a tweet.

Masari wrote, ā€œToday, I had the honour of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu GCFR at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions. We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement.ā€

However, the presidential aide did not disclose details of the Paris engagement.

Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday, October 2, for a two-week working vacation in the UK as part of his annual leave.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced his departure in a statement titled ā€˜President Tinubu goes on annual leave.’

Onanuga said, ā€œHe will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He will return to the country after the leave expires.ā€

France has become Tinubu’s 28th foreign destination since he assumed office about 17 months ago and his fourth trip there.

So far, he has visited Equatorial Guinea, London, the United Kingdom (four times); Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Norvo, Benin Republic; Pretoria, South Africa; Accra, Ghana; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, the United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (twice); Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal and Doha, Qatar.
