UPDATED: Ten Dead In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Road Crash 

Over 10 people were reportedly feared killed in an accident that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Oyo State, on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, three Nissan Micra taxi cabs and three articulated vehicles popularly called trailer were involved in the accident.

Our correspondent learnt that all the ill-fated vehicles were coming from Iwo Road area before getting involved in the accident.

The state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Rosemary Alo, confirmed the accident in Ibadan, the state capital.

She said, “The accident involved seven vehicles. Four were killed while one is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.”

Alo urged the drivers to always take precautions of defensive driving while on the road.

“The injured victims were rescued by the Sanyo Police Station while the corpse was deposited at the Adeoyo morgue, Ring Road, Ibadan. Others victims who didn’t sustain injury found their way to their destinations.

“Meanwhile, Sanyo Police DTO, Oluwole Adesina, has taken charge of the accidented vehicle, while one of the corpses was handed over to the relative with the express permission of the Divisional Police Officer,” the sector commander confirmed.
