The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has arrived the Force Headquarters at the Federal Capital Territory to honour a police invitation.
Ajaero was accompanied by human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju and a group of workers.
The police had invited the NLC leader over allegations of terrorism financing, which Ajaero and the NLC have denied.
Before honouring the invitation, labour members had gathered at the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Thursday in solidarity with their President.
As early as 8:am, the Labour leaders had started converging on the NLC HQ to rally support for the number of workers in the country.
Videos posted on NLC’s official X handle also showed some labour leaders addressing some workers who were solidly behind Ajaero.
The police had invited Ajaero last week for questioning over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony and cybercrime.
