A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has criticized religious leaders operating within the South-East, accusing them of looking away from the security reality in the region.
In a post he shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, the political commentator claimed that all men of God in the South-East are pretending, stating that they have all failed to acknowledge the killings in the region.
According to Igbokwe, the men of God are aware of the alleged genocide in the religion but decided to keep mute.
He wrote, “Today is Sunday, the day of the Lord. Let me tell us that all men of God in the SE are pretending as if they do not know what happened in the zone in 15 yrs.
“They are aware of the thousands killed but kept quiet. If gold rusts what will iron do?”
Igbokwe is apparently referring to the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and it’s security wing, the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

In another development, GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that Nigerian High Commissioner to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has mocked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his long quest to become Nigerian President.
Fani-Kayode shaded Atiku in a piece titled, ‘The Seventh Bid of Waziri’.
According to him, Atiku has spent 33 years trying to become Nigeria’s President.
