NIS Suspends Officer For Begging For Money From Traveller

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has suspended Okpravero Ufuoma, an assistant superintendent of immigration II (ASI II), for soliciting money from a traveller.

A video with the caption: โ€˜This is how immigration officers treat tourists in Nigeriaโ€™, has been making the round on social media.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kemi Nandap, NIS comptroller general, said the officerโ€™s conduct does not reflect the values and ethics of the NIS.
