A Nigerian single mother of two has appealed to Streams of Joy International for assistance after she allegedly transferred ₦1,640,200 to the church’s account by mistake.
The woman, whose identity was not immediately disclosed, said the money was not intended as an offering and belongs to other people who have been demanding its return.
According to her account, she realised the mistake after the transfer had already been completed and subsequently appealed to the church’s financial department to help reverse the transaction.
She explained that while she is a lover of God and has great respect for Pastor Jerry Eze, she could not afford to donate such a large amount of money as an offering.
The distressed woman also appealed publicly for the church to verify the transaction and assist her in recovering the funds.
She said the situation had placed her under considerable pressure because the people whose money was involved had been calling her and demanding an explanation.
She further pleaded with the Streams of Joy financial department to treat the matter urgently and help return the ₦1,640,200 to its rightful source.
The appeal has since drawn attention online, with social media users urging the church and relevant financial institutions to investigate the transaction and facilitate the appropriate resolution.
