FLASHBACK (Fake Agency): In 2023, Adeyemi Served As Adeleke’s SSA, But Got Sacked Over Alleged Forgery

In 2023, embattled Director-General of controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew served as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Sustainable Development Goals and promised to revive the “moribund” agency in Osun State.

According to a news bulletin by the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Adeyemi held a meeting with staff of the agency and the then newly deployed Focal Person, Mr Oyesiku Adelu.

The July 27, 2023 bulletin reads, “The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew, has solicited the cooperation of members of staff of the agency.

Doing this according to him will give him the necessary zeal and enablement to move the agency forward as a way of living up to the good expectations of Senator Ademola Adeleke led administration.

Prince Adeyemi made the call at a meeting with the agency’s newly deployed State Focal Officer , Mr Oyesiku Adelu and other members of staff.

The new SSA whose joy knew no limit at the brief but highly interactive meeting used the opportunity to roll out many of his action plans aimed at particularly reviving the moribund SDG programmes in Osun state .

In line with the popular saying that a tree can not make a forest,the SSA sought not only the love and support of the staff but necessary action oriented advise on how to drive the mission and mission of the agency to the desired level .

Responding, the new state Focal Officer of the Agency , Mr. Oyesiku Adelu whose joy equally knew no limit ,on behalf of the management and staff assured the Senior Special Assistant of good working relationship that would move the agency forward.

Mr Adelu also used the opportunity to advise the staff to abstain from any act capable of stalling the planned and expected progress of the SDGs in Osun state .

As a way of committing the affairs of the new SSA of the agency and its new Focal Officer as well as the entire staff before God, special prayers earlier held before the commencement of the meeting.

However, Adeyemi was subsequently sacked by Governor Ademola Adeleke over allegations bordering on forgery and misrepresentation of the government.

Bamikole Omisore was later appointed in 2024 to head the SDGs in the state.

Adeyemi has been at the center of running an agency that the Presidency described as non-existent.

But official documents released in the public domain have cast doubt on the truthfulness of the presidential position.
