Social media personality Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has criticised TikToker Peller, following his traditional marriage to his partner, Jarvis.
On Sunday, Peller revealed that he had completed the traditional rites of marriage by paying Jarvis’ bride price during a family introduction ceremony.
Sharing footage from the occasion on Instagram, he stated, “Today, I proudly paid the bride price of the woman I love”.
In response on X, GehGeh questioned the notion that financial capacity alone is sufficient grounds for marriage.
He argued that other areas of readiness, mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual, must also be considered before making such a lifelong commitment.
“Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money allow him’. But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” he wrote.
He further stated, “Everything isn’t all about the money.”
GehGeh expressed disappointment that Peller proceeded with the marriage despite his counsel.
He described the TikTok star as still young and in a stage of personal development, stating that he should have waited.
“You still growing as a child why get married now eehn.. I tried my possible best to help you but you failed to listen to me.. Peller don go marry Jarvis.. upon all my advice this boy still pour spit for my face,” he said.
He also challenged those supporting Peller’s decision to reflect on whether they would offer the same advice to a younger family member in a similar situation.
The introduction ceremony came days after Peller proposed to Jarvis in Ghana, where she accepted.
