There is brewing protest in Oluyole Federal Constituency over alleged plot to twist the Primary result of All Progressive Congress (APC), GISTSMATE MEDIA reports.
A group of students and youths who are supporting an educationalist, Dr. Abiodun Gbolagade has called for immediate declaration of Oluyole Federal Representative APC’s Primary result.
The group alleged that some individuals are planning to twist and distort the fact after all indicators pointed to Dr. Gbolagade as the winner of the primary election.
The students also called for fairness, and prayed that APC committee in charge of the election should uphold transparency instead of dancing to the tune of any oppressor.
The statement reads:
We, the Concerned Student Bodies and supporters of Prof. Gbolagade Taiwo, demand the immediate and official declaration of the APC primary election result for Oluyole Federal Constituency.
The election was held, monitored, and signed off by party executives, delegates, and INEC officials.
Records show Dr. Abiodun Gbolagade won clearly. Yet, no official declaration has been made.
This delay undermines trust in APC’s internal democracy and disrespects the will of the people of Oluyole.
We call on the APC National, State, and Local leadership to:
1. Review the signed results on record
2. Declare Prof. Gbolagade Taiwo as the rightful winner
3. Uphold fairness and transparency
The youth and grassroots are watching. Do what is right.
