'Enough Is Enough,' Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Comforter Dumps PDP

Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, a member representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 in Oyo State House of Assembly has tendered her resignation letter form Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter sighted by GISTSMATE MEDIA, the lawmaker said her decision followed a persistent and unresolved internal challenges, leadership crises that has plague the party.

Dear Sir,
Letter of Resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

I write to formally tender my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) owing to the lingering internal challenges and unresolved leadership crises that have continued to plague the party both within my constituency and across Oyo State in recent times.

You will recall my steadfast commitment, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the ideals and principles of the PDP, which culminated in my emergence and subsequent victory as the Member representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Without doubt, the PDP party has remained a political platform through which I have served my people diligently and contributed meaningfully to the growth of democratic governance in our dear state. However, the persistent divisions, instability, and internal wranglings within the party have created conditions that no longer support effective representation and the fulfillment of my responsibilities to the good people of Ibadan North Constituency 1.

This decision, though difficult, has become necessary in order to enable me focus fully on the mandate entrusted to me by my constituents and to continue serving them with dedication, effectiveness, and sincerity of purpose.

I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and goodwill extended to me by party leaders, members, supporters, and stakeholders over the years. I also assure my supporters and the people of my constituency that my future political direction will be communicated in due course.

In lieu of this, I hereby request that you please delete my names and details from PDP registers and the website hence forth.
