GISTSMATE MEDIA reports that the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has declared his ambition for the 2027 governorship seat.
Adelabu stated that his gubernatorial ambition is not driven by personal or selfish interests.
He insisted that his motivation comes from wanting to improve the lives of the people in the state.
In a video that began trending on Sunday morning, Adelabu explained that his desire to serve as governor stems from his deep love for the poor, the less privileged, and the people of Oyo State as a whole.
Speaking in Yoruba at Ibadan, he said, “I contested in 2019, 2023, against Seyi, I have paid my dues, So In 2027 “E mi Lokan” (It’s my turn)”.
Adelabu was the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in 2019, and conceded defeat to Seyi Makinde, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate.
During the 2023 general elections, he joined Accord Party after Senator Teslim Folarin secured APC ticket. He went on to clinch distance third position, as Governor Makinde secured his second term in historical victory.
