In a proactive move to foster grassroots development and strengthen community relations, the Senior Special Assistant to Osun State Governor On Community Engagement, Hon. Sulaimon Musa Olalekan organised a stakeholders meeting for Community Development Council Executives in Ijesha Zone, Which comprises of the six local government councils in the zone.
The meeting was held on the 1st of July 2025 at Iwikun town, Ilesha.
CDC leaders present at the meeting are:

2. Engr. Adewole T. Akinolu – State Secretary – Ife East
3. Adeshina Olabode – State Vice Chairman – Ilesha West
4. Adeleye Adeniyi – State Auditor II – Atakumosa East
5. Opasanmi Opebiyi – Chairman CDC – Ilesha West
6. Ayo Obisesan Abetesola JP – Assistant Sectary Ilesha East
7. Adejola Ajayi Adediran – P.R.O Zone – Ilesha North/South
8. Chief Oluwatosin Abe – Zonal Auditor – Obokun
9. Abdulsalam Habeebulah – Youth Representative
10. Famuyide Olaleye – CDC Chairman Oriade LG
11. Chief Oluwaseun Olaleye – Chairman LCDA Atakumosa East
12. Hon. Joseph Ogunromila – Zonal Vice Chairman – Obokun
13. Comrade Sola Fadey – Chairman CDC Ilesha North East

The interactive session brought together community leaders, youth representatives, women groups, and other key stakeholders, providing a unique platform for open dialogue on pressing issues affecting the zone and exploring collaborative solutions.
Hon. Sulaimon, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of community engagement in achieving sustainable development. He reiterated the commitment of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke to inclusive governance, where the voices of the people form the foundation of decision-making.
He explained the various projects and programs of this administration that will bring more growth and development to the people of Ijesha land.
In his words “Our communities are the heartbeat of development. When we listen to one another, we grow together. My doors will always remain open to ideas, concerns, and partnerships that promote peace and progress,” he stated.
Issues discussed during the meeting ranged from infrastructural development, waste management, and security, to youth empowerment and education. CDC leaders expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute directly to policy formulation and project planning in their neighborhoods.
In response to some of the concerns raised, Hon. Sulaimon assured participants that concrete steps would be taken, especially in areas of road rehabilitation, drainage, and support for community-driven projects.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose, as attendees pledged continued cooperation with Gov. Adeleke’s efforts to build a safer and more prosperous communities within Ijesha Zone.
