Allow Israel Fight Its Battle, Don’t Start World War III – Fani-Kayode Tells Trump

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has asked President Donald Trump not to plunge the world into a global conflict over the escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran.

The remarks came as tension between Iran and Israel escalated sharply following a series of coordinated military strikes in recent days.

In a strongly worded statement, the former minister condemned Trump’s recent rhetoric on the issue, describing it as reckless and lacking in diplomatic tact.

He accused the American leader of being manipulated by Israeli interests and neoconservative hawks in Washington.

“You are a disaster,” Fani-Kayode wrote. “You have betrayed your mission and calling. You are not a true believer but a fake. True believers do not support mass murder, genocide or oppression of the weak.”

The former minister cautioned Trump against targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader or deploying American forces into Iranian territory, warning that such actions could set the Middle East ablaze and push the world to the brink of war.

“Kill the Supreme Leader of Iran if you dare and after that, if it pleases you, send in your Marines to occupy his country. It will signal the beginning of the end of the American empire,” he said.

Fani-Kayode said he once held admiration for Trump but now disappointed by what he described as the former president’s descent into hubris.

He urged him to listen to voices of reason within the conservative camp and avoid repeating the mistakes of past U.S. administrations in the Middle East.

“All I see in you is vanity and an Icarus-like hubris which will lead to your nemesis. For once, let Israel fight her own battles,” he added

FFK’s comments come amid mounting tension in the Middle East following Israel’s extensive airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear targets.

Iran responded with a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones, some of which struck Israeli cities and military installations despite the Iron Dome defense system.

Both sides have suffered casualties as fears grow over the possibility of a wider regional war.

While the United States has reaffirmed its alliance with Israel, Trump’s personal remarks calling for unconditional pressure on Iran have triggered backlash from various quarters.

Efforts to broker de-escalation have so far yielded little progress, as airstrikes and retaliatory attacks continued through the weekend, worsening an already fragile regional security landscape.

International observers have called for restraint and a return to diplomacy.
