Popular Nollywood Actress, Eniola Badmus has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s chances of winning a 2nd term in 2027.
Speaking during an interview, she identified the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as one of the administration’s significant accomplishments, explaining that students now have access to loans to finance their education.
“When I was in uni, I never had the opportunity of getting a student loan. So, I mean, some people in my age range were not able to go to school because they could not get student loan,” she said.
She added, “But the fact that students can get loan at zero performing, what’s it called? Zero performing, what’s it called? Like they can actually get a student loan to go to school. It’s a big deal. I’ve never heard about it before.”
According to her, “For me, that’s huge. Whether we like it or not, nobody can shy away from education. Education is key.”
She also alleged that some students were concealing information about the loans from their parents, saying, “Do you know that? Can’t hear about it for the first time. Yes, because they know already that, oh, they can get student loan to go to school. They will get it and they will still try to force money out of their parents.”
